ANDAMAN SAILS

Bergamot, Green Tea, Monoi de Tahiti Oil

58

Most cherished signature formulations for nourished, soft skin.

A plant-based oil that upon contact with water becomes incredibly light and silky with a milky appearance to scent, soften and nourish the skin.

DESCRIPTION

Monoi de Tahiti Oil, an ancient elixir from Tahiti, obtained by steeping indigenous Gardenia Taitensis blossoms in purified coconut oil, soothes, nourishes, and restores youthful appearance.

Upon contact with water, this plant-based oil becomes incredibly light and silky with a milky appearance – ideal as a bath oil, after-bath moisturizer or massage oil. Blended with antioxidant-rich Pomegranate and Turmeric, it both scents, softens and nourishes the skin.

SCENT

Secluded in the splendor of silence; just the serenity of the waves, the emerald waters and the sound of sunrays touching the skin. Andaman Sails navigates the senses with a brisk brew of uplifting Bergamot, Green Tea and Nutmeg, atop a comforting billow of Sandalwood, conjuring glimpses of endless summers, white sand between toes, and familiar hymns of the inviting sea.

HOW TO USE

For bath, pour a generous amount into warm running bath water. Slip into the water, take slow deep breaths and center your awareness on your breathing. Relax in bath before gently patting skin dry with a towel. For after-bath, apply while skin is warm and moist. For massage, pour oil into palm and rub between hands to warm before massaging into skin.

INGREDIENTS

Bergamot

Bergamot is sometimes called “the finest flower of citrus”, because of its very subtle and complex scent, much more than other citruses. An acidulous and fresh scent, but also bitter, fruity, and subtly floral with a mild spicy tone, recalling lavender. Production of bergamot is mostly limited to the coastal region of the province of Reggio Calabria, in South Italy, where the soil and climate are very favourable for its cultivation. Also cultivated in Ivory Coast, Argentina and Brazil, but in no other part of the world does it fructify with the same yield and quality of essence. Bergamot is named after Italian city of Bergamo, in which its oil was first sold, and it has become a symbol of the entire region and city. The fruit is not edible and is cultivated for the production of its essential oil. Like with all citruses, “cold expression of the rind” is used to obtain bergamot essential oil. Bergamot oil is also used for flavouring purposes ex. Earl Grey tea and is also very popular among perfumers. Bergamot essential oil is known for its relaxing, soothing and purifying benefits. Moreover, it said to induce good humour. Bergamot is also a beneficial element for oily skins, and also used as an antispamodic natural treatment

Green Tea

Green tea perfume notes are known for its refreshing and pleasant aroma. Unlike many other aromatherapy scents that either relax you so much that they lull you to sleep or are very energizing, the scent of green tea relaxes your mind while sharpening your mental focus
